Installation Process
If you have selected the Pod Solo 3s EV home charger in your salary sacrifice agreement, you will receive confirmation from the team at Pod to set up your home survey ahead of booking in for installation ahead of your anticipated car delivery date. When going through your survey with the team, you will get the option to select between a tethered or untethered charger.
Tethered vs Untethered - What's the Difference?
The Pod Solo 3S charger comes in two types:
Tethered:
Comes with a fixed charging cable – just plug it in, no need to grab your own.
Best for: Quick and easy home charging, especially if your car uses a Type 2 plug.
Universal:
No cable attached – you use your own. More flexible if you have more than one EV or use public chargers often.
Best for: Setups where the charger is further from the EV, households with multiple EVs, or those who prefer to use their own cable.
