Electric and Hybrid Lease Vehicles

Electric Vehicles

Driving an Electric car allows you to be an environmentally friendly as you can be when driving your vehicle. They produce zero CO2 emissions as they are ran purely off an electric motor. With this in mind, the total running costs of an EV is significantly lower than any Petrol/Diesel Engine.

Hybrid Vehicles

Hybrid cars combine a standard combustion engine with an electric motor to produce some of the lowest CO2 emission levels of any vehicle. This winning combination means hybrids are also an effective option if you want to keep on-the-road costs to a minimum.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far can an electric car really go on one charge?

Most new electric cars deliver a real world range of up to 350 miles with some models capable of going even more. Actual range can depend on driving style, speed, weather and use cases. For most people, this sort of range is plenty for everyday driving.

How and where can I charge?

You can charge your car at home with a home charger or at work or on the public network. Home charging is the cheapest and most convenient option whilst public chargers can be useful with rapid charges available across the UK road network now.

How long to charge an electric car?

Charging time varies on the charger used and the battery size on your car. A home charger will typically be used to charge your EV overnight, typically. A rapid public charger could top your car up to around 80% in as little as 20 minutes on compatible cars. Most do tend to charge at home though.

Is leasing an electric car expensive?

Not necessarily. List prices can sometimes be higher but they benefit from lower running costs including cheaper 'fuel', reduced costs for maintenance and if you're a business user, a low Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax.

Do electric cars need servicing and MOTs?

Yes. Electric cars do require MOTs after three years and routine servicing. They do have fewer moving parts than a petrol or diesel equivalent though meaning costs are typically lower to maintain. For example, no need to top-up oil.

Are electric cars okay for long journeys and motorway driving?

Of course. Modern electric cars offer pleny of range for motorway driving and long trips with strong effficiency numbers and a growing number of rapid-charging points from Lands End to John o' Groats.
